Think Jesus Cafe is a place where we think about the truth claims of Jesus Christ. - Marc Day

Proverbs 21.2 says, "Every way of man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart." We live in a time when when many of us make decisions based simply upon what is right in our own eyes. But this can be a hazardous practice since we can so easily be persuaded to follow changing popular opinion or what is most expedient, but not truly the best choice. What we need is something, or someone, we can depend upon to guide our decision-making in the many everyday choices we face. We need to learn to evaluate our choices based upon the wisdom of Jesus Christ. The wisdom of Christ never changes and it is always true. And, the wisdom of Jesus applies to every dimension of life--it just takes a little time to work out the application in our life. We live in a hurried and noisy world but we need consistent times to think about the teachings of Jesus and how those teachings apply to life. Our vision for Think Jesus Cafe is that the worldview and wisdom of Jesus would permeate decision-making across all avenues of life--our personal life, families, workplace, local communities, and government. Our desire is that Think Jesus Cafe would be a place where you can regularly think about the truth claims of Jesus Christ as they are presented in the historical record of his life--the New Testament. The host of Think Jesus Cafe is Marc Day. Marc is the husband of Lydia and pastor of Gatetree Baptist Church in Danville, California. Marc has served churches in California, Kansas and Brazil. He hold a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and is a candidate for the Doctor of Ministry. Marc and Lydia lived in Brazil for three years where they served the International Baptist Church of Brasilia. They also served in Kenya for six years on various 1-6 month projects where Marc taught biblical peacemaking.

Marc has a passion for worship and helping people apply biblical truth to their lives. Think Jesus Cafe grows out of Marc's observation, after serving the Lord on four different continents, that people commonly struggle with making the connection between the worldview of Jesus, everyday living, and practical decision-making. Most importantly, Jesus provides the way for eternal life but he also brings with him a worldview that promises a more fulfilling life. In John 10.10 Jesus says, "The thief comes only to steal, to kill and to destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
